Rainy clouds — why not bet on AMZN, GOOGL, MSFT & Co.

Sure, given the fantastic rise of Amazon, Microsoft, and all the other tech companies it sounds like ill-advised to not bet on these stocks.

Also, working in the tech industry for more than 20 years doesn’t make me a laggard when it comes to cloud computing — quite the opposite. But there have been a few things in the past couple of days that made me think and write this post:

Stolen Identity

It started with a friend of mine who’s Facebook Page got copied in what could be called a stolen identity manner to do some fraud on his customers. Someone created a Facebook Page that looked similar to the page of my friend's business. Then the fraudster contacted the followers of my friend and tried to make them buy a voucher. Luckily the friends and customers were smart enough to identify the fraud and informed my friend. You might say — so what — this is happening all the time and you are right…

Fishing

The next thing was a fishing mail that got in my inbox that was better than the usual ones. I’m using Gmail for business and they are pretty good at filtering spam and fishing. But as you can see — they aren’t perfect not even good enough.
